AQABA CONSULTANTS OFFICE (ACO) is an officially
private registered office with the Ministry Of
Industry and Commerce, Insurance department and
at Aqaba ports Corporation, marine survey
division that offers technical and professional
services and advise in the field of marine
surveys and damage evaluation, employed highly
qualified master mariners and chief engineers,
officially registered as marine cargo, hull and
machinery surveyors and loss adjusters.
Therefore, we are a firm comprising of a team of
independent surveyors, loss adjusters and
assessors headed by the undersigned who is
licensed by the local Jordanian Competent
authorities and registered in the Ministry of
Trade & Industry – Controller of Insurance, and
by The Aqaba Port Corporation authorities, thus
enabling us to perform all the entrusted
assignments within and throughout the Kingdom
and neighboring countries including the various
Air, Land and sea entry points.
Our range of services covers all vessels hull,
machinery and equipment and 3rd party
claims arising from collision, stranding,
breakdowns and accidents. In addition to
performing and issue a general vessel’s
condition survey or to issue a particular
condition certificate relating to a certain
section or part or component of the vessel
engines, machines, equipment’s, instruments,
holds…etc.
While our marine cargo services cover inspecting
the cargo on board the ship be it in bulk or in
bags or packed in boxes or containers, taking
samples before and during the discharge
operation and to lodge protests whenever
necessary to safeguard the interest of our
principal. We continue on doing same if the
assignment is extended to the receiver’s final
warehouse.
We always try to document the shortages/damages
at once with all the relevant competent
authorities and parties concerned and document
jointly the damage too.
We assess and adjust the damages and their
remedy upon their discovery and whenever it is
possible and if the case needs special technical
assistance, we never hesitate to call on the
specialized and competent experiences to give us
their full report.
Our services also cover Air, Land and rail cargo
claims whereby and in all cases the terms and
conditions of the different insurance clauses
and endorsements guide us.
